Green Building Consulting Services
Green building - the body of practices that achieve high energy efficiency, healthful interiors, and environmentally sound buildings - has been gaining ground in the U.S. The "cost of green" has decreased as materials and equipment manufacturers have responded to the demand for greater efficiency and more healthful materials. Today, green need not cost more. For instance, the additional cost of a more energy-efficient building envelope can be offset by smaller mechanical systems. And the payoff of lower energy costs occurs every year.
Aqua Cura is deeply involved in green buildings. Its integrated water management practice applies directly to water efficiency and environmental protection, two important elements of green building. The firm's principal, David Sheridan, is a member of the Steering Committee for the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) program. He also chairs the Council's technical advisory group for Water Efficiency.
