Design reviews

Credits that are submitted for design review are not 'awarded', but they can be denied. Although the design review is advisory - the reviewer states that a credit is likely to be awarded, subject to the practices being confirmed in the final (construction) submission - credits can be denied. Denial of a credit in either the design or final submission review can be reversed only through an appeal (which costs $500 today, and will still cost $500 when GBCI increases fees on January 11, 2009).

So don't take the design review lightly. You have to document as if you were making the final submission.
